Today is a special day in the long and proud history of the Red Wings. Nineteen years ago the Red Wings finished off the hated Colorado Avalanche in Game 6 of the 1997 Western Conference Finals 3-1 and were a mere 4 games and 12 days away from winning their first Cup since 1955. In honor of this special day, here is a little something to test your Red Wings fandom.
Do you consider yourself a truly die hard Red Wings fan? Well it is time to put that theory to the test. During the 1996-97 season 32 different players pulled on the Winged Wheel for at least 1 regular season game. Can you name them all? You only have to put the player’s last name in…but you do have to spell it correctly. I would love to see everyone put their scores in the comment section but try to refrain from naming specific players without using the spoiler cover so as not to ruin it for those who might not have taken the quiz yet.
