Steve Yzerman is using some future draft capital to add some grit to Detroit’s bottom six. According to Darren Dreger, the Red Wings are sending future draft picks to Vegas in exchange for forward Keegan Kolesar.
This is the type of player the Red Wings have needed to get for quite some time now. Kolesar has been in the league for eight years now and has never shied away from playing with an edge. He won a cup as a role-player in Vegas, which is always valuable to NHL clubs. Steve Yzerman has finally added a sledgehammer to the bottom six. Considering the what it cost Detroit, I like this pickup.
