Red Wings at Panthers: GDU, Lineups, Keys to the Game
Game Day Updates
Sasha Barkov and Patric Hornqvist on the ice for the #FlaPanthers today — Chris Driedger apparently in net v Detroit

Looks like Barkov is out tonight — Hornqvist cannot come off IR until Saturday anyway. Acciari running with Verhaeghe and Marchment

Looks like we’ll see the Panthers going 11/7 again tonight with Lomberg slotting into the lineup in place of Marchment who moves in to the injured Anthony Duclair’s spot higher in the lineup.
On the Wings side, practice yesterday had Nielsen skating with Svech and Rasmussen with Filppula apparently taking Givani Smith’s place in practice. Blash told the press that Smith’s absence was protocol related, but that he’s good to go.
Bobby Ryan and Sam Gagner are both unavailable tonight, remain day-to-day, per Blashill.

Keys to the Game
1. Practice Passing
Gotta pass harder on softer ice.
2. Push the Pace
Getting outscored is going to happen even on a good day, but getting outskated is something you have a choice over.
3. Top Line Needs to Produce Like It
The scorers were real quiet at 5-on-5 and just not sharp enough on the power play. We’re already talking about “the kids” as not meaning guys like Larkin and Mantha and those are the guys who need to be more noticeable than guys like Rasmussen. Don’t get me wrong, I love the way Ras hustles, but he should be keeping up the pace, not setting it.
