Red Wings at Senators: Rank ‘Em!

After a tough loss yesterday to the Senators, the Wings managed to have one of their best games of the season, beating the Senators 5-3 in tonight’s rematch.

Today’s game ended up being a treat after a string of tricky games for the Wings. Happy Halloween everyone!

Quick Thoughts

  • Two of the Wings’ goals tonight were scored by defensemen. If the Wings want to translate the momentum from tonight’s game into future successes, our defensemen will need to continue to produce offensively.
  • The game became a little physical towards the end of the game. The Senators were not too happy with the score, especially Chris Neil.
  • While the Wings did play a good game, giving up three goals, especially two late ones, is still a cause for concern. There are going to be plenty of games where we will not score five goals, and where keeping our opponents to less than two goals is going to be important.

Now’s the time to rank ’em. If you were around last night (or for any of the rest of the season, it’s an easy thing. Just give the good ghouls a thumbs up and give the bad zombies a thumbs down. If you don’t care about how they did, then no thumbs is just a fine way to vote as well.
