[Edit: WIIM Radio Live has ended, but you can listen to the episode via the player above. Enjoy!]
Welcome to the post trade-deadline version of the Detroit Red Wings. We’ve had a lot of movement in Detroit and around the league as an arms race in the East helped lead to a bunch of moves among contending teams. We’ll have plenty to talk about tonight as we hit the airwaves on our Blogtalk Radio page.
You can head over there now and listen to archived shows, but at 10pm EST tonight we’ll be on the air live. When that happens, we’ll tweet out the direct-to-episode link and update this post with that information as well.
The benefit of doing it live is that we’ll be available for immediate feedback through the comments on this post, the comments over in the Blogtalk Radio live chat, and via our Twitter mentions (@wingingitmotown). We’ll hit up the big obvious points, but if there are specific questions you’d like us to tackle, let us know.
Here’s a rundown:
- The Wings added Erik Cole and Marek Zidlicky for a few picks and a couple prospects. We’ve got a ton to cover on these two from their price to their expectations and to where they fit in on the lineup.
- What did the rest of our competition do as well? Specifically we’re keeping an eye on Tampa, Montreal, New York (both teams), Pittsburgh, and Boston.
- The trades that didn’t happen and/or the dumb rumors.
If you are unable to listen live, don’t worry. These episodes get archived almost immediately after they’re complete and will be made available for listening/download both here and on the Blogtalk Radio page, or as a searchable podcast on iTunes.
Stay tuned and LGRW!
