Red Wings Set to Buy Out Justin Abdelkader
Detroit announced today that they are putting forward Justin Abdelkader on waivers in order to buy out his contract.

Detroit will have a cap hit of $1.8M this coming season, then $2.3M for the following two seasons, and $1.06M for the last three seasons of the buyout.
Abdelkader currently has 3 years left on his contract at a cap hit of $4.25M.
The Muskegon, MI native made his NHL debut in the 2007-08 season and played 739 games for Detroit. He finished his Red Wings career with 106 goals and 146 assists for 252 points.
