Detroit signed RFA defenseman Joe Hicketts to a two year contract today.

The diminutive defenseman has been up and down from Detroit to Grand Rapids. He’s looked like he can play at the NHL level during much of his time there, but the team obviously feels he hasn’t shown enough to stick there.

As of now, we don’t have details on the contract. We’ll update that as soon as we have that information.
