Keys to the Game
- Follow up on the last two games. The last two games have been so much better than the ones that precede them. Incredible that putting a young player into the lineup with a lot to prove led to more energy.
- Don’t let Chicago’s stars shine. We saw how quickly Alex Debrincat can turn a chance into a goal. Detroit did a good job overall of shutting down Chicago’s offense, but momentary lapses could be the difference in a close game.
- Picking up the slack. Obviously Dylan Larkin hasn’t scored as much as the team would have liked so far, but he is often one of the top players on the ice even so. Detroit did a good job making up for that last night, they need to do that again.
