The Wings welcomed Winnipeg warily on Thursday night and promptly went down 2-0 in the first. Then, they tied it by the end of the 2nd. Then the third was pretty meh until Abdelkader scored the GWG then it was very good. The end.

Quick Thoughts

• Jonathan Ericsson passes the puck into the net. He was looking exactly for what happened and it did. I liked that.
• Andreas Athanasiou insists on claiming the middle of the ice. This is why he creates chances. AA doesn't take the easy route to the half-wall, he forces defenders to defend stuff. This makes a big difference.
• Chris Thorburn looks like he belongs on a Sumerian coin or something. Big scruffy idiot. /
