Red Wings vs. Lightning: Rank ‘Em!

Welcome to the postgame voting for the Wings against the Lightning. Detroit saw the Lightning come in playing their third game in four days and was able to weather an early storm to set the pace that they liked. The Wings jumped to a 2-0 lead before Howard’s shutout streak ended at 111:03 to start the season. Fortunately, the 2nd, smaller storm was also weathered and then Kyle Quincey salted it away.

Wings win 3-1

Quick Thoughts:

  • Room for improvement by the defense, but I’ll say again that I thought this was an excellent game for the Red Wings‘ blueliners, despite the mistakes that we no doubt will always remember.
  • Drew Miller was a god tonight.
  • Dylan Larkin setting up Zetterberg made me feel things in parts that I don’t want to talk about right now.
  • Jimmy Howard… he’s good, yeah? (yeah)

Now it’s time to rank ’em! It’s a fun and easy way to tell us what you think without having to hand-write a postcard like some sort of 19th-century savage. It’s easy, you like the way the guy played? Give him a thumbs up. You didn’t like his stupid face or his game? Do the opposite.
