The Wings are a young team and with that fact comes unavoidable mistakes, including taking bad penalties. The kids and vets alike will need to stay composed and focused to limit the Stars scoring chances, especially considering the offensive talent Dallas posses. If Detroit follows suit once again and ends up with 21 giveaways like they did against the Jets on Friday, things could get ugly.

If you haven’t noticed the shot counts in the last few games, the Wings are getting out-shot, badly. The team has to get more pucks to the net. You don’t have to be analytics guru to know that to score goals you have to shoot the puck. Anthony Mantha needs to ignite his offensive game and start getting some confidence in his scoring abilities, no matter what line he’s on.

Remember the other night against Carolina when the fans loudly and sarcastically cheered when the Wings registered their first shot on goal halfway through the first period? Yeah, that’s not acceptable. Give the people something to genuinely cheer for, make them go wild and rip the black seat covers off the seats at LCA, that is if the fans are even sitting in said seats.
