SB Nation NHL FanPulse results: Playoff races revisited

Welcome kicking and screaming into 2020. With the new year we’ve got new FanPulse results!  If it’s been too long and the hangover has driven the memory from your brain, here’s the rundown. You sign up for the FanPulse project, they send you questions to answer, and we collect all that beautiful data to share back with you.

This time around, we’re going to revisit the results from week one to see how everybody had changed since October.

Question 1

Hard to vote against the Coyotes based on their play so far this season (and their division). Interesting to note that they weren’t in the top five at the outset.  The Canucks are also new to the list. To make room, we see the formerly-number-two Sabres and the Canadiens fall off.

If you’re looking for Detroit… why? Last time around the Wings got 4.44% of the vote. This time around? 0.00%

Question 2

The Sharks jump from fifth to first here, bumping Columbus down one spot in a tough Metro. The Preds and Flames are new to the list while the Isles and the Stars have built the confidence meter up to get taken off the early-season list (as seen here)

We’ll be getting out our next round of questions to folks soon to keep the project going all season. If you’re interested in taking part of the voting, you can sign up here:
