With play about to resume in the NHL, fans can again turn to the on-ice action. For Red Wings fans, that’s actually a good thing. According to SB Nation’s Reacts survey, 95 percent of Detroit fans are confident the team is headed in the right direction, a slight uptick from 92 percent in mid-March.
It’s no surprise the confidence in the Wings has soared in the last four months considering the Wings haven’t lost a SINGLE hockey game in that time.
It’s also no surprise that confidence in the direction is high due to how hard it is to conceive of the team actually getting worse. I suppose it’s possible to lack confidence they won’t just spin their tires, but the afterglow of Stevie Y hasn’t faded from six feet away.
