Tomas Tatar Scores Off Nifty Feed From Darren Helm
Darren Helm sets up Tomas Tatar for a beauty of a goal.
In my opinion, this was one of the best plays of last night.
Pavel Datsyuk loses reach of the lost faceoff, but Oliver Ekman-Larsson fumbles the puck, and Darren Helm made no mistake to burn him by taking possession, and creating a break with Tomas Tatar with Zbynek Michalek left all alone to defend. Darren Helm jets down the ice, and dishes a sweet pass to Tomas Tatar who makes no mistake and snipes it past Mike Smith to give the Red Wings a 2-0 lead over the Coyotes.

Tomas Tatar and Darren Helm combined for five points last night to lift Detroit to a 3-1 victory. Tatar now has 23 goals on the season, which is good for 9th best in the NHL. No doubt in my mind, he is emerging as one of the league's most prolific stars. It was efforts like this that had made Detroit 9-1-0 in their last 10. Keep it coming, boys!
