The Red Wings came out firing against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday night, knowing that a loss at home would put them in a near-fatal situation. Despite good push by the Wings, they were unable to crack Ben Bishop until 12:42 of the second period when Andreas Athanasiou took a feed from Joakim Andersson and blasted it by the Tampa netminder to open the scoring.
