The Red Wings came out firing against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday night, knowing that a loss at home would put them in a near-fatal situation. Despite good push by the Wings, they were unable to crack Ben Bishop until 12:42 of the second period when Andreas Athanasiou took a feed from Joakim Andersson and blasted it by the Tampa netminder to open the scoring.
Congrats to AA for scoring his first ever NHL playoff goal and the first playoff goal at the Joe Louis Arena this postseason.
