Watch Henrik Zetterberg’s Goal that Survived Two Reviews

We already showed you the Athanasiou goal that turned out to be the game-winner, but we’ve got another highlight goal for you in this one. Henrik Zetterberg padded the Wings’ lead to 2-0 just 4:40 after the AA goal.

The video doesn’t show the Nyquist steal at center ice that got this sequence started, but you can see his fingerprints all over the setup in what ends up creating the goal, as Nyquist wrecking-balls all over the Tampa zone while Larkin gets himself involved when Bishop tries to interfere with him and ends up being unable to control the puck coming into his own crease.

This is where Zetterberg comes in, crashing the crease hard and getting it home. The refs initially review for a kicking motion and call it good. Then, Jon Cooper challenged it as well for goalie interference, only to lose his timeout when the refs decided that was also not the case.

Next game is on Tuesday night at 7pm.
