The Red Wings are moments away from holding a press conference, featuring Chris Ilitch, Ken Holland, and Steve Yzerman. It’s expected that the team will announce that Yzerman will be assuming the role of general manager, while Holland will move up to the role of Senior Vice President of Hockey Operations.
