It’s a new week and a new WIIM Radio mailbag… and we have Red Wings news to discuss! Yzerman gifted us with a signing out of Sweden that we can pin all our future hopes and dreams on (not really).
The players are also starting to grumble about some parts of what the NHL is calling “Phase 2” of their plan to finish 2019-20. There’s not really new information about what’s being proposed, but it is interesting to hear guys like Philip Danault talk about his feelings towards the idea.
We’ll also start getting into the Yzerplan a little more and take a trip down memory lane in looking at all the lessons Steve Yzerman got to learn during his first 27 years with the Red Wings, as we begin a multi-part look at the Captain.
