Collectively, looking back on our First Round predictions, we successfully picked the Ducks, Hawks, Penguins, Rangers, and Habs. I’d say we did pretty well for ourselves, even if we did manage to only get one of them right as far as series length was concerned. We’re also not collectively broken up about getting the Avs and Sharks picks wrong, since the Avs losing in the first round is hilarious and we all figured the Sharks/Kings series would be insanely close.

Now that we know the matchups and the games are starting tonight, it’s time to predict the next round. If you’re interested in the stone cold locks, pay attention to Michelle’s picks. She went 6/7 in the first round and even correctly picked the right series length in three of those. Graham also hit 6/7 (damn Avalanche), but he only hit two of them in the right number of games.

If you’re interested in being a mean-spirited jerk, you could point out that I did the worst of everybody, correctly predicting only three of the seven non-Wings series and not getting a single one right for number of games, but I expect that nobody will ever bring that up.

There you go, folks. If you’re looking to take something to the bank, take these there and deposit them into an interest-bearing money market account. Your parents will be very proud that you’re saving something. Look at you, so much like an adult.
