Game Day Updates: Red Wings vs. Avalanche

A couple of weeks of uncertainty begin tonight for the Detroit Red Wings. They being a road trip with a tough matchup against the Colorado Avalanche, and without their top scorer in Dylan Larkin. The last time these two teams met, Detroit came out on top in a 2-1 decision. This time around is going to be much tougher, one reason of course being Larkin’s absence, but also the Avs have been the NHL’s best team when on home ice.

Colorado will be without defenseman Bowen Byram, as he was shipped off to Buffalo in exchange for forward Casey Mittelstadt. If Detroit is going to pull off the miracle here, the game will need to be won with depth.
