Detroit’s new toys made a mark in their very first game, but the team didn’t play a very good game overall in getting that win. With the first match under their belts, we’ll see how quickly the Erik & Marek show adjusts. The Wings welcome a Calgary squad that took all 65 minutes plus extra rounds in a shootout to off the Bruins (with David Schlemko netting the winner by Forsberging the Bruin’s Finnish goalie in hilarious fashion).
I miss Jiri Hudler, but I’m looking for the guy who got his number to help Detroit crush the flames.
