Sixty-nine games down, thirteen to go and the playoff race is tighter than a pair of jeggings. The Griffins Wings beat the Penguins when most people didn’t think they could pull off a win. If they can continue to channel that determination and confidence, I think they’ll definitely make the playoffs. This rag tag team has won three of their last four games and there’s more good news. Darren Helm will be a game time decision tonight! He declared himself in the lineup tonight, but even a game time decision is more than we’ve had to look forward to form him in quite some time. If Helm plays, he’ll center Ferraro and Emmerton on the 4th line with Pulkkinen most likely being the healthy scratch.

With only two wins in their last eight games, the Wild will have extra motivation to lay hard today. It’s crunch time my friends. We have a hot Goose, a re-emerging Alfie, & Jiimmy’s been great. Gustav Nyquist has 5 points in his last 3 games, leads the team with 20 goals, and has 13 points since the Olympic break. That’s a hot Goose! So let’s sit back and enjoy some afternoon hockey. The Griffins beat the Iowa Wild last night, your move Wings.
