- The NHL board of governors officially approved the sale and relocation of the Atlanta Thrashers yesterday.
- A ‘Canadian Press’ writer has Datsyuk winning the Selke and Lidstrom winning the
NorrisByng trophy at tonight’s Awards. What. - Ken Holland has informed Ruslan Salei that he will not be offered a contract for next season. This means one of three things: Holland plans to get more than just one top defenseman, Brendan Smith is expected to be with the club next year, and/or Jonathan Ericsson will return.
- Jaromir Jagr has narrowed his teams from five to three; Detroit, Pittsburgh, and an unidentified team are the only ones he is interested in now. Some reports have his decision coming as early as tomorrow.
- Sidney Crosby continued his streak this season, despite his injuries. As with every season of his career, his jersey was the highest selling jersey in the league. Datsyuk was #11 and Zetterberg was #12.
- Olympia Entertainment has job openings posted. Apparently that is a rarity (or so says Malik).
