After a short break, the Red Wings are slated to host one of the league’s most-potent offenses, and a familiar foe, depending on when your fandom started.
The Colorado Avalanche have just three wins this month. They’ve been one of the best teams in the NHL when on home ice, but have struggled to match that success on the road. All of Colorado’s five losses in February have come on the road, and oddly enough, all of them have been against Eastern Conference teams. That will certainly play in Detroit’s favor, but let’s not underestimate Colorado’s stacked lineup — which includes Nathan MacKinnon, Mikko Rantanen, and Cale Makar.
