The defensive prospect pipeline is getting a bit crowded. Between this off-season and next, we need to see a couple guys either shipped out, let go, or brought up to the big club full time. I’m genuinely rooting for all these kids, but with contract logistics being what they are not all of them will wear the Winged Wheel or even play in the NHL.

A Bruins double-whammy as both their arbitration eligible players have started the process. Boston has less than $5.5 million in cap space, and these players combined are asking for more than that. I’m sure the arbiters will give the Bruins more favorable options, but some of the arguments (especially about Frederic) by fans are just ridiculous. Whatever happens, I’m hoping it leads to more Atlantic Implosion so the Wings can take advantage and rise.
