Red Wings Rumblings
Christian Fischer has quietly been one of the most effective players in Detroit’s bottom-six, but the point production wouldn’t tell you that.
“’He’s been unbelievable,’ coach Derek Lalonde said. ‘The attention to detail, to his game … he forechecks. That line has been great. He gets guys touches, but he does things right all the time. For a lineup that was searching for some detail in the game, he does it.‘”
Personally speaking, Fischer has been one of my favorite players to watch this season. He’s the type of player you want when you get into the playoff push. Wouldn’t mind the Wings keeping him around.

Oilers Win Streak Dies One Shy of Record
16 straight wins for Edmonton. Probably good for all of us that they didn’t tie the record, because that’s all NHL media would be talking about for the rest of time.
