In Red Wings Land

Red Wings Should Target Tyler Johnson – The Hockey Writers

But if a deal cannot be struck between BriseBois and Yzerman, there’s no harm done. The Red Wings don’t need to make this move, but it is one that should definitely interest them. A sign that you’ve set yourself up for success is if you can allow yourself to sit back and wait for the right opportunity to come to you.

I like the consideration that taking an asset to rid Tampa of the contract and then exposing him to the expansion draft might entice Seattle to take the Spokane native. At one point in this article, the idea of the Wings sending Svechnikov back the other way gets brought up and that made me physically cringe, but otherwise it’s an interestingly laid out piece.

NHL logo rankings: 10-1 – The Score

The Red Wings’ classic look is one of the greatest in all of sports. Not only is the logo a masterpiece aesthetically, but the winged wheel perfectly represents the heart of the Motor City. The timeless design has remained virtually the same since the team adopted its name in 1932, which is a testament to how connected it is to the history of the city and the sport.

I’m not offended by where Detroit ended up on this list, but I think the one they have at #4 is punching way above its weight.
