Torts is set to become the first American-born coach with 1,500 games under his belt. Like him or not, that’s quite the accomplishment. It’s also interesting to see so many people talk about this different side of the coach, and hear that he purposefully leans into his reputation while at work. It’s kind of a reminder that coaching can, at times, be as much about perception as about Xs and Os.
