Christoffer Ehn sits down with Patrick Bexell to talk this season and beyond

Today we’ve got an interview from our friend Patrik Bexell (@Zeb_Habs) with the Red Wings’ 2014 fourth rounder Christoffer Ehn. The 21-year old Ehn signed his three-year entry level deal with the Red Wings this April, but barring outstanding circumstance will be spending this season continuing his career with Frolunda HC of the Swedish league.

Ehn is a defensive center who played shut-down on Frolunda’s lower lines last season, scoring four goals and 13 points in his second season in the top tier of Swedish hockey. He joined the Griffins for their Calder Cup run in the Spring, but like the majority of the Griffins’ black aces, was there more to experience the culture than to shake up a winning lineup.

With Frolunda’s preseason already in full swing and their regular season starting soon, Ehn won’t be coming over for the Prospects Tourney or main training camp, but that plan gets covered in the interview.

Patrik talks to Ehn about his offseason training, what he’s been improving upon, his confidence level, and outlook for the upcoming season. Ehn talks about the decision to stay in Sweden one more year in order to continue to improve and build muscle before making the jump across the pond . The kid seems to have a good head on his shoulders. Give it a listen via the embed below, or right from Patrik’s Soundcloud page.
