Detroit has drafted the Swedish center Mattias Janmark-Nylen who currently plays for AIK in the Swedish Elitserien with the 79th pick in the draft.
Mattias is currently listed as 6’1” and weighs around 190 lbs. He shoots left and is 20 years old. He was passed over in last years entry-draft.

This is what Red Wings Central has to say about the Swede:
Nylen put himself on the map this season by producing impressive numbers and finishing as a Swedish Elite League rookie-of-the-year nominee. Although he’s been passed over in previous drafts like Pavel Datsyukall those years ago, Nylen has decent size and is known for his high skill level and tremendous smarts and knocked for his skating. At 21, he’s closer to the NHL than most picks
I wasn’t able to find much information online about him besides what I mentioned above. Hopefully we will have a clearer picture of who this player is in the upcoming days.
The only thing of notability on YouTube that I can find is this interview with a Swedish television station/newspaper. It’s nothing special, he speaks about AIK and how they were doing at the time of the interview.
