Thanks to a heads up from user WingedUp, Jonathan Ericsson is out for tonight’s game against the Sharks. Ericsson is a healthy scratch. Big E has struggled a lot this year and is a -12–ouch.
Here’s what Uncle Mike had to say:
“We’ve talked over and over and over again,” Babcock said. “We think he’s a good player. We like what he’s done in the past. We like his size and his talent. But it hasn’t gone (well) for him, for whatever reason. He’s got to get that fixed. We’ve talked enough now. He’s got to decide that he wants to be in the lineup each and every night. Maybe sitting tonight is what he needs.”
Brett Lebda and Derek Meech are both going to be in the line-up. We’ll see how that works out tonight.
I kind of like this move. Maybe it will shake things up for Ericsson and give him some time to re-group.
