Hopefully you’ve forgotten the horrors that unfolded Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden. If you ask me, it never happened. What horrors? Never heard of ’em.
The Wings are back in front of a home crowd tonight to host division rival Montreal Canadiens. The Habs are currently on a four-game skid — their last loss came at the hands of the Tampa Bay Lightning Tuesday night. The odds are in Detroit’s favor, thankfully. The Wings have been good on home ice (4-2-1) while Montreal has managed to win just one win on the road so far this season (1-2-2).
There are a couple of lineup changes for the Wings tonight: Reimer will start in net and Shayne Gostisbehere is a healthy scratch. Jeff Petry will suit up against his former team.

Key Matchups
Battle of the Backups: It’s going to be James Reimer vs. Cayden Primeau. Primeau, 24, is a Farmington Hills native and is looking for his first win of the season. Reimer has been a solid backup for the Wings up to this point. What could possibly go wrong.
Holy Defense: Detroit’s defense was god-awful in New York. It will be a slightly more-favorable match-up for them tonight. On the flip side, I think I know maybe two defensemen on Montreal’s team. Again, what could possibly go wrong.
