I’m not saying this to put last night squarely on Husso’s shoulders – the entire team stepped onto the ice and fell flat on their faces. And Husso has also really kept us in some games over the past few seasons. But… Florida has happened… and the JVR goal happened in the Boston game… and a couple other “flub” goals already. With 3 netminders carried on the main roster right now, is Husso earning the 1A spot? And why haven’t we seen Lyon yet?

It’s kind of interesting to see how things are working out right now for the top-heavy teams like Edmonton and Toronto. Obviously the Leafs aren’t quite the bastion of foppery that Edmonton is right now, but neither team is really showing themselves to be capable of living up to off-season expectations at the moment.
