Team needs defense… adds more offense instead… wonders why defense sucks.
In the grand cycle of predictability, who managed to not see this coming? I even called this shot back when the Leafs fired Kyle Dubas. Tyler Bertuzzi, John Klingberg, and Ryan Reaves were going to fix approximately zero defensive issues for Toronto. Calling out this team for not playing defense when none of these players individual games are built for playing defense (except Morgan Rielly most nights) is almost too tone-deaf to even bother dunking on.
