Game Day Updates: Panthers vs. Red Wings

Credit: Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

The Wings are back and staring down a tough divisional matchup this afternoon at LCA against the Eastern Conference-leading Florida Panthers. The Cats have been scratching at their opponents in the last 10 games — with a record of 9-1-0, and currently on a three-game win streak.

It won’t be an easy game for Detroit against a team that is 2nd in the NHL for goals against. But, as we have seen this season, the Wings have some resilience and are actually playing for something right now. Currently Detroit sits in the first wild card spot with a two-point cushion over Tampa Bay. Today isn’t a make-or-break situation, but every point is important right now. Can we get Bobrovsky to have an off day?
