Let’s try this again: Big game tonight.
Both the Red Wings and Penguins are trying to get into that slippery Wild Card spot that’s still up for grabs as we round out the regular season. The Wings will be without Andrew Copp – Zach Aston-Reese will take his spot in the lineup, but on the fourth line.
Detroit and Pittsburgh are tied at 84 points through 78 games – and are trying to pass Washington for the second Wild Card spot. The last time these two teams met, Pittsburgh won 6-3. Alex Nedeljkovic had the start in that game, and he will tonight.
Nothing else to add… Just win the damn game.
