After 3 days off for the holidays, the Red Wings are back in action tonight visiting the Minnesota Wild. Still looking to really get back on-track with how they started the season, the slumping Wild would be a good opponent to really get right against – especially with Edvinsson and Berggren probably back in the lineup.

Time: 8:00 EST at Xcel Energy Center

How To Watch: BSDET, BSN, BSWIX, 97.1 The Ticket

Keys To The Game

Protect Your Net. Over the last few games, the Wings have had serious issues with letting opponents have free range in high-danger areas. Uncontested point shots keep getting tipped in for goals, and rebounds find the back of the net with opponents mobile and on their feet behind our netminders. The Wings need to step up and be aggressive in front of our own net, especially with Hutchinson and Reimer as our only goalie options right now.

Mix Up Strategies. Lately, it’s seemed like the Wings either want to be pretty or throw everything at the net and make chaos. They need to do both to keep opponents guessing and create opportunities.

Give More Presents. Gifts aren’t just for the holidays…

Give Mick the best present you can, and get a road win for him tonight.
