Is tonight the night the Red Wings buck the losing trend?
It would be a good night to do it, as the Wings were gifted three losses from key opponents last night: the Islanders, Devils and Capitals all lost. With a win tonight, it would put Detroit back on track to slide into playoff hockey. We’ve got 18 games left in the season, including tonight’s game. Every point and every loss from another competing team is of value for the Wings.
Red Wings radio voice Ken Kal gave some updates on Twitter this morning, which includes a tidbit about Dylan Larkin:
Initially, Larkin was slated to miss a couple of weeks. All we can do is hope that the captain is feeling close to 100% so he can return ASAP.
