Red Wings Rumblings
What a disastrous weekend for the Detroit Red Wings. A shutout loss to the Arizona Coyotes, a hard-fought 5-3 loss against Vegas on Saturday, and the New York Islanders winning last night means the Wings are officially out of a wild card spot at this point.
No real news to share, other than we’re awaitng word on Michael Rasmussen’s condition. Ras left the game early in Vegas. It’s not clear how serious his injury is.
What’s it going to take for the Wings to right the ship? It starts with players stepping up. We’re also getting a real-time look at just how important Dylan Larkin is to this team, and how much of a bargain his new contract is if this is what happens when he’s out of the lineup.

Tortorella suspended for unprofessional conduct
The NHL’s favorite flamethrower is at it again. Torts has been suspended for two games and fined $50k for his actions toward officials by refusing to leave the bench after he was assessed a game misconduct on Saturday.
