Detroit travels to Edmonton tonight to play the Oilers in the second game of a three game trip to Western Canada. Detroit won 2-1 in its last game, Wednesday night against Calgary. Despite the low goal differential in the game, the Wings outplayed Calgary all game long and it was hard to think they weren’t going to leave without the win. Jimmy Howard was great in that game and the Wings will need him to be good again tonight. But even if he does have a bit of an off night, Detroit might be able to put a bunch of pucks past Nikolai Khabibulin. Look for the Wings to try and get their passing game going early tonight and get Khabibulin moving. Watch to see how Jiri Hudler plays on the fourth line and if there’s any continuance of a surge from the third line.
Puck drops at 9:00 and the game will air on FS-Detroit plus. Comment away below.
