The last time the Red Wings played the Oilers was pretty soon after the last time Detroit allowed five goals to Boston. That was the game where Luke Glendening scored an empty net power play goal to seal the victory.
Edmonton went up 3-0 on Carolina in the first half of their game yesterday and then allowed six straight goals on their way to a 7-4 defeat. I don’t know what that means for the Oilers coming into the Joe tonight. To be honest, I don’t care either. The Wings have their own problems to deal with and Edmonton is the perfect team to do that against.
Detroit hasn’t won a game by multiple goals since February 7th. They’ve allowed a power play goal against in six straight contests. Their power play has given up as many goals against as they’ve scored in the last two games.
I want to see an easy win.
Have fun in the comments and let’s go Red Wings.
