HF Photo: QMJHL forward Jonathan Drouin was impressive in the month of November, managing 31 points in 10 games. Drouin was selected third overall by the TampProspect of the Month for November, 2013 – Hockey’s Future
Petr Mrazek earned honorable mention. Starting out the month in Detroit and getting his first NHL shutout against the Oilers, then going 6-0 in Grand Rapids, posting a 1.67 GAA and .939 SV%, while allowing 1 or fewer goals in 4 of his starts, and earning one shutout.

The Walleye lost again, but they weren’t shut out for a 4th consecutive game, and all 3 of the Walleye goals came from Red Wings property. Martin Frk 1G 1A 2 SOG, Marek Tvrdon 1G 3 SOG, Trevor Parks 1G 1A 5 SOG, Max Nicastro 1A 1 SOG. Coreau did not play.

Losing in OT is progress after being shut out for 3 straight games, then falling 7-3. Trevor Parkes had 2 PP goals, 1A, and 4 SOG. Louis-Marc Aubry had 1PP goal 3 SOG and 4 PIM. Martin Frk had 1A and 1 SOG, Marek Tvrdon had 1A, 7 of Toledo’s 27 SOG, and 2 PIM. Jared Coreau stopped 31 of 37 shots.

The Walleye lost their 6th game in a row when they fell 3-2 to the Cincinnati Cyclones. Marek Tvrdon scored one of Toledo’s goals and had a team leading 5 shots on goal. Martin Frk was a -1 and had 1 shot on goal. Coreau didn’t play in this game because he’s in Grand Rapids backing Thomas McCollum up while Petr Mrazek is in Detroit backing Jonas Gustavsson up.
Martin Frk is now tied for 3rd on the team in points with 10 (4G 6A) and Marek Tvrdon is tied for 2nd in goals with 6 and is 5th in points with 9 (6G 3A). You can go here to see the full team stats, but I warn you.. it’s ugle.

The Walleye play back-to-back home games against the Evansville IceMen tonight and tomorrow night, then head to Evansville on Wednesday before playing back-to-back games in Kalamazoo against the Wings next Friday and Saturday. The Walleye currently have a record of 5-11-3-0 and are 21st out of 22 teams in the league.
