Former WIIM writer, and friend of the blog, Michael Petrella takes a stab at predicting what the Red Wings might do with their first round pick depending on where they fall in the lottery that takes place this Saturday.

The team’s obvious top need is a defenseman, but I’m slightly surprised to read that the team might be higher on Filip Zadina than Andrei Svechnikov.
