Report: Red Wings want 1st-round pick for Jimmy Howard | WDIV

That’s according to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, who wrote in his column Wednesday that Detroit has “made it clear it wants at least” a first-round pick for Howard.

The idea of trading Jimmy Howard was the topic of conversation in yesterday’s Quick Hits and it continues today.

A 1st rounder for Howard? I’d be thrilled with that. Ken Holland and the Red Wings just need to sit tight for the moment and wait for that perfect situation to arise. I’m sure there will eventually be that one team that is desperate for a goalie and willing to meet the price tag, right?
