Video: Anisimov’s gun taunt angers Tampa; Downie leaves bench – Puck Daddy – NHL Blog – Yahoo! Sports
Not sure how I feel about this move from Anisimov. Kind of classless. Kind of funny. Tampa surely didn’t like it and I don’t really blame them all that much. Curious if Downie gets a call from Shanny.

Albert Pujols, Ryan Suter & The Nashville Predators, a cautionary tale – On the Forecheck
Josh put this in a Fanshot yesterday, but it deserves full attention. Dirk Hoag with On The Forecheck with a great writeup on tempering Nashville fans expectations with Ryan Suter and what his salary demands may be (and how they may be too high). As somebody who’s lived near the Royals for so long and has seen them consistently develop good young talent only to lose it to free agency, I’ve seen this happen with a lot of players and the locals are never happy about the harsh realities of economics in professional sports.

Discussion: What did you think of Artem Anisimov’s celebration after his goal last night? Would you have felt any different if it was an overtime or shootout goal? If that happened against the Wings would you want someone to go kick his ass and would you have been okay if someone on Detroit did that during a game? Did Anisimov cross the line?
