The title of the article on the Freep site says that signs say Z won’t play again, and I’m not sure that’s Helene’s doing, but it’s the other angle on what happened yesterday.  By now, nothing that came out of that discussion is going to really change anybody’s mind. The quotes fit both narratives that he’s positioning himself for next year’s LTIRetirement or that he’s done now (when his salary drops to $3.35M, as opposed to next season when it goes down to just $1M). You kind of believe what you believe at this point.

Here’s a Devils blogger drooling over Gustav Nyquist in the wake of the Larkin signing. While this article only says they could get him for “next to nothing”, the same writer offered up a fan-deal of Pavel Zacha & a 5th-rounder for Nyquist + a 3rd. What do you think?
