Red Wings News
The wait is over, this marks the end of the slow season, hockey returned to the forefront of our hearts and minds yesterday… and we already have an injury. Carter Mazur, who has been expected by many to make a push for the main roster, left Detroit’s first game of the Traverse City Prospect Tournament with a lower body injury and did not return. Dan Watson remarked that he was hopeful Mazur could “be back” so I’m hoping that’s indicative that the injury may not be serious. Hope is not a strategy.
Not sure why the link preview isn’t working (at least on my device), but for those of you experiencing the same technical difficulty as me… Edmonton has signed Adam Erne to a PTO. Say it with me now…
GRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTT!
Seriously though, Erne led the Wings in goals for a season not that long ago. Flat-out signing him would have been the Abdelkader2.0 thing to do, so maybe Kenny has learned something since his tenure here. I’m not gonna call this the piece to put Edmonton over the hump, but he has a chance to be a solid addition to their roster for a season or two.
