Yesterday’s Action: That was not exactly the result we were all hoping for. But, it was Game 1. This marked the first time some of these guys were playing together, as well as playing for the season (I’m not counting practices and workouts and free skates). There’s a full recap here via the Red Wings homepage, but to sum things up:
Soderblom, Tuomisto, Danielson, and Kasper looked good
Mazur looked injured
Cossa and Bednar looked
Dallas looked like they won
With a day to rest, I’m sure the prospects will come out a bit sharper and a bit hungrier in their next effort on Saturday. And now, on to today’s action…

Rosters: Dallas Stars, Toronto Maple Leafs
Dallas is fresh off their victory over us, while the Maple Leafs are fresh off an absolute pounding at the hands of Adam Fantilli & Co. My gut tells me the edge should be given to Dallas, but playing pissed-off after a loss like Toronto’s can sometimes provide a spark.
This will be fun to watch if you can catch a stream – after all, we’ve been without real hockey for a few months now. Nobody is going to fault you for drinking directly from the tap and taking in a game or two that doesn’t feature the Wings.
