Red Wings Rumblings
It’s officially gut-check time for the Grand Rapids Griffins. The Griffs are at home for game three of the Central Division Finals tonight. The best-of-five series is 2-1 in favor of the Milwaukee Admirals. If the Griffins lose tonight, they’ll be eliminated from the Calder Cup Playoffs.
Something to keep an eye on — Simon Edvinsson has missed some time this series with a nagging injury. He’s been day-to-day, but has been skating with the team. It could be a huge turning point for the Griffins if they can get Simon back into the lineup tonight.
The Athletic’s Max Bultman put together an article with his observations from the Griffins postseason so far. Lots of good information about some of Detroit’s most-coveted prospects, and how they have performed. Definitely worth reading if you have the sub.

Devils hire Keefe as head coach
Didn’t take long for Sheldon Keefe to find a new job after the Leafs canned him. It’ll be interesting to see what New Jersey looks like next season. I still think Keefe is a fine coach, just had a really poor situation in Toronto.
