Marty Frk is finally getting his shot with the big club, although the headline belies how tenuous the position is. ‘Season-opening’ kind of hangs there, like he might not be on the ‘season-closing’ roster. But maybe I’m just being a cynic. I’m actually really happy he’s going to be on the roster.

The Blue Jackets have a problem. NHL Sophomore Josh Anderson doesn’t want to play in Columbus, and to make matters worse, the Jackets spent assets during the expansion draft to protect him. Meanwhile, the Avs are trying to shake up what is increasingly looking like a pre-McDavid Oilers roster. A Josh Anderson for Matt Duchene swap (with extras going back to Colorado) could fix everyone’s problems.
